constant介词短语搭配

当being作动名词的时候，往往用于介词后或者所有格后等，

比如:

I was tired of being a bookkeeper. 我厌倦了当簿记员。

当being作现在分词，可以作用于进行时等，

比如:

Don't worry, he's just being a drama queen.

不用担心，他只不过是在小题大做罢了

①being在介词后表达被动的语义:

介词后面接动词的话，只能接动名词，例如of后面只能接of doing，没有of do, of done之类的。

比如：As for being adopted, I have no desire to find my real parents.

②being 形容词，当名词用，作主语或者宾语

Being 形容词有一种强调处在某一种状态或者某一特别时刻当中。

比如：Being poor is no disgrace 处在贫困的状态不是一件羞辱的事情

③being用于独立主格

All being well, the project will be finished in five months.

Life being short, we ought not waste time in reading valueless books）

④being用于介词后“主谓”结构中，即“介词 名词或代词 being …”。这时介词宾语是一种复合宾语。其中being为现在分词。

例如：.The pressure of a gas varies inversely as its volume, with temperature being constant.在温度不变条件下，气体压力是和其体积成反比的。
